Choice Time: We stayed inside due to rain. The two choices were play dough and musical instruments.
Circle Time: We sang Rise and Shine. We danced to Stop and Go. We read the story Growing Pumpkins. It was a book that was giant in size and it reviewed many of the things we learned from the field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Here are some questions to ask the children - What does the farmer put in the ground to grow the pumpkins? (seeds) What does a pumpkin grow on? (a vine) What color is a pumpkin when it first starts to grow? (green) What color is a pumpkin when it can be picked off the vine? (orange) Grace helped us count 10 pretend pumpkins from the mystery bag.
Snack: Grace brought cheese sticks and juice for snack. Thank you Grace!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. Some of the children chose to use magnifying glasses to look at pumpkins, gourds, and flowers.
