Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time. It was so warm we had to take advantage of it! A scarecrow hanging from a tree greeted us as we made our way to the playground.
Circle Time: We sang Rise and Shine. We danced to Stop and Go. We read the story The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. This is a story about a lady on her way home who came upon pieces of a scarecrow that worked together in the end to be a scarecrow in the lady's garden. Some questions to ask the children - What noise did the shoes make? (clomp) What noise did the pants make? (wiggle) What noise did the shirt make?(shake) What noise did the gloves make? (clap) What noise did the hat make? (nod) What noise did the pumpkin make? (Boo!) After the story, Khloe helped us count 10 bananas from the Mystery Bag.
Snack: Khloe brought cheese sticks, goldfish crackers, and juice for snack. Thank you Khloe!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. The children made a Halloween mural to decorate the hall.
