December 14, 2016 Wednesday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  We practiced for the Christmas Program. 

Circle Time:  We read the story, "Ten Gingerbread Men."  Ask the children where the Gingerbread Men lived.  (a gingerbread house)  Jay helped us count 13 buttons out of the Mystery Bag. 

Snack Time:  Jay brought grapes, graham crackers and juice.  Thank you Jay!

Center Time:  All of the centers were open and there was painting with bows available at the easel.

Please note:  Important papers went home with all of the students today that need to be read.  Call and talk to either Mrs. Lenbauer or Mrs. Christiansen if you have questions.

December 13, 2016 Tuesday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  Table top easels and flip boards were offered today. 

Circle Time:  We read the story, "Ten Trim-the-Tree'ers."  Ask the children what was put on and around the tree. (star, lights, angels, elf hats, reindeer, snowflake, snowmen, candy cane, candles, gifts.) We also practiced a few numbers for the program.  Connor helped us count 14 shells in the Mystery Bag.) 

Snack Time:  Connor brought PBJ sandwiches for snack.  Thank you Connor!

Center Time:  All of the centers were open.  There was painting with bows at the easel.  There were  clothespins and popsicle sticks for anyone who wanted to play with them.

December 12, 2016 Monday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  We gave the children the option to either play with the flip boards or the tabletop easels.

Circle Time:  We read the story, "10 Trim-a-Tree'ers."  Ask the children what things went either on or around the tree. (star, lights, angels, elf hats, reindeer, snowflakes, snowman, candy cane, candles, gifts.) We also practiced songs for the program.  Jade helped us count 14 sea shells in the Mystery Bag. 

Snack:  Jade brought graham crackers and apple juice for snack.  Thank you Jade!

Center Time:  All of the centers were open.  There was snow to play with and painting at the easel.

December 8, 2016 Thursday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  We played a game called, Garbage.  This is a game similar to dodge ball except we use bath poofs that are very soft and do not hurt if they hit you.

Circle Time:  We read the story, "If You Take A Mouse To The Movies."  Ask your children what the mouse had to have at the movies.  (Popcorn)  We counted 10 plastic screws in the Mystery Bag.  We practiced a few more numbers will be doing for the Christmas program. 

Snack Time:  We had cheese tortilla roll ups for snack.  We celebrated Jackson's birthday by singing to him and eating a birthday brownie.  Happy Birthday Jackson!

Center Time: All of the centers were open.  There were little toy mice to play with and little make-believe movie theaters for the children to play with if they wanted to pretend to act out our story for the day.

December 7, 2016 Wednesday

Here is what we did today:

Choice Time:  We played the game, Garbage for Choice Time.  It is a game very similar to Dodge Ball except we use bath poofs.

Circle Time:  We read the story, "If You Take A Mouse To The Movies."  As the children what the mouse wanted to eat when he went to the movies.  (popcorn)  We counted 10 screws from the toy work bench in the Mystery Bag.  We also practiced some more numbers for the Christmas program.

Snack Time:  We made tortilla/cheese roll ups.  We also celebrated the birthdays of Rifa and Spencer and Jay.  Happy Birthday to all!

Center Time:  All of the centers were open.  The children had the opportunity to play with little toy mice and make-shift mouse houses.  This activity kept many of them busy for a long time.
