I'm back and feeling better!
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We did an obstacle course and cut string with scissors.
Circle Time: We read the book, "Penguin Says Please" Ask the children what Penguin had to say to get his mother to give him something to drink, something to eat, or some socks to wear. (Please)
Brooke helped us count 10 blocks in the Mystery Bag.
Snack Time: Brook brought pretzels and orange juice for snack. Thank you Brooke!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. There were some special Christmas-themed things in the art center, the writing center, and the housekeeping area. Tis the season!
The next few class sessions we will be learning some special songs and finger plays for the upcoming Holiday Program. These are all simple songs that will need no additional practice at home! It will be a no pressure program meant for everyone to enjoy!

Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We played the game, "Jump the River." There was also tabletop easels available but the children enjoyed playing the game so much they were not needed.
Circle Time: The story was, "Who Will Carve The Turkey This Thanksgiving?" Ask your child who ended up carving the turkey in the end - Grandpa! Callie helped us count 10 coins in the Mystery Bag.
Snack Time: Callie brought graham crackers and juice for snack. Thank you Callie!
Center Time: The art center was closed today. There were new letter stampers available at the desk area and seemed like everyone tried those at least once.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Pictures of the children playing the game for Choice Time are below.

Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside today. It was beautiful! We spent extra time playing - not sure when we will be able to go to the play yard again!
Circle Time: We listened to the story, "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie." Questions to ask the children - What did the lady eat besides the pie? (cider, roll, salad, cake, pot, squash, bread) What did the lady turn into at the end of the story? (a balloon in the Thanksgiving Day parade) Brooke helped us count 11 spools of thread in the Mystery Bag.
Snack Time: Brooke brought apple sauce and apple juice for snack. Thank you Brooke!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. Jacob brought an interesting bug he found in his garage this morning. No one knew the name of the bug. Those who were interested had quite a discussion about whether the bug was real (it was) and what happened to it to make it die (unknown but it only had one of it's big legs)
