Welcome to October!
Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time. They have been enjoying buckeyes a lot! They made a "buckeye delivery truck," used them as balls on the ramp (buckeye rollers) and made pretend food out of the buckeyes. Also, one of the children found a ladybug in the sand table - very exciting!
Circle Time: We sang Rise and Shine. We danced to Stop and Go. We read the story Growing Pumpkins. Some questions to ask the children about the story - What does the farmer plant in the field to grow pumpkins? (pumpkin seeds) What color is a pumpkin when it first grows on the vine? (green) What color does a pumpkin turn to let us know it is ready to be picked? (orange) Jay helped us count 10 pretend pumpkins in the mystery bag.
Snack Time: Jay brought goldfish and juice for snack. Thank you Jay!
Center Time: All of the centers were open and there was painting at the easel.
Next time is the field trip to the pumpkin patch. Meet at school a little before 9. Maps went home today in case you want to put it into google maps ahead of time.
Pictures are below. Have a great day!
