Here is what we did:
Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time.
Circle Time: We sang Rise and Shine, danced to Stop and Go, read the story Busy Squirrels, and counted 7 buckeyes in the mystery bag. Some questions to ask about the story - What do squirrels drink? (water) What do squirrels eat? (nuts, berries and fruit, seeds, and pine cones) Andy what do squirrels do to stay warm? (grow a fur coat and cover up with their tails)
Snack Time: It was Cooking Day and the children peeled their own banana and drank milk. Our cooking days will always incorporate simple snacks that encourage independence. Sometimes the children say "That's not cooking!" which is true, but it is a step on the journey nonetheless!
Center Time: All of the centers were open and there was painting and glitter glue available at the art table.
Important papers went home in the backpacks today. Please read and respond in a timely manner to them - it really helps us keep things straight!
