Here is what we did:
Choice Time: We went outside for Choice Time.
Circle Time: We sang Rise and Shine. We danced to Stop and Go. We read the story Busy Squirrels. And we counted 7 buckeyes in the Mystery Bag. Some questions you can ask your child about the book we read today - What do squirrels drink? (water) What do squirrels eat? (nuts, berries, pine cones) How do squirrels stay warm? (grow fur, cover up with their tails)
Snack Time: It was cooking day and the children had to peel their own banana to go with the milk we gave them. We will always be preparing simple snacks that encourage independence on our cooking day. Often, we hear comments from the children that this is not "cooking." While that is true, it is a step on the journey nonetheless! We also celebrated Paxton's birthday with Cosmic Brownies. Happy Birthday Paxton!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. There was glitter glue and paint at the art center.
Several important notes went home in the backpacks today. Please read and respond in a timely matter. We appreciate your timeliness - it really helps us keep things straight!
