Here is what we did today:
Choice Time: We allowed the children to choose between an obstacle course or cutting string with scissors.
Circle Time: We read the story, "Penguin Says Please." Ask the children what word Penguin had to say in order for his mother to give him something to eat, drink and socks for his feet. (Please) Charlie helped us count 10 blocks in the Mystery Bag.
Snack: Charlie brought bananas, graham crackers, and milk for snack. Thank you Charlie!
Center Time: All of the centers were open. There were some Christmas-themed things added to the art table, housekeeping, and office/writing centers. Tis the season!
Over the next few weeks, we will be practicing some songs and finger plays for our upcoming Holiday Program. All of the numbers we will be preforming will be simple and fun. There will be no need for your children to practice extra at home. It is a no-pressure-program meant for all to enjoy!
